Subject: NABA-Supported Events – Communication Protocol

Dear NABA City Directors and Executives,

This is a reminder to all City Directors, their officers, and members that any event using the name “NABA” or North American Basketball Association—including basketball or volleyball tournaments, sports programs or clinics, or any other NABA-branded functions—must be communicated to the NABA Executives for review. This process ensures that all activities uphold and protect the image and integrity of NABA. Following review, the NABA Executives will seek approval from the Commissioner.

For events held in the United States, please inform our NABA Executive Officers based in the U.S. first. Likewise, for events in Canada, please notify our Canadian Executive Officers. For programs specifically geared toward our youth athletes, please coordinate with our NABA Youth Development Executive Officer, Roger Tarca.

Proper communication is essential. It reflects poorly on our organization when NABA-sanctioned events take place without the knowledge of NABA leadership due to miscommunication or failure to follow established protocol. Your cooperation helps us maintain unity, professionalism, and the continued success of our organization.
